DISASTER RECOVERY (TAC 202.75(4))

Encryption for storage and transmission of information shall be used based on documented institution of higher education security risk management decisions.

 

The Office of Information Office  is implementing a data security procedure  to protect sensitive and confidential stored on University computers

 

As a user who handles this type of data in course of your work activities, or carry a laptop computer, your computer will be encrypted.

 

OIT will use Safeguard Enterprise Software to allocate this procedure. Safeguard uses hard disk encryption in combination with an implemented authentication to secure the system on which the software is installed.
